UNSW Employability
The UNSW Employability team is here to support you in establishing career goals, developing workplace skills and industry connections. They also help you plan for long-term success in a career that sparks your passion.
Through UNSW Employability, you can book one-on-one appointments, attend free seminars, access online resources and more. You can access services throughout your program and up to 18 months after finishing.
If you’re an undergraduate student, you can also take the career-focused elective course: Creating Your Career: Employability for the Future (CDEV1112).
Work Integrated Learning
Many of UNSW’s programs include Work Integrated Learning (WIL). This refers to internships, placements and other forms of workplace learning that can be credited to your degree. Through WIL, you’ll build your professional network, gain essential hands-on experience and valuable insights into your industry’s workplace culture.
UNSW is well-known for its strong industry partnerships, and your WIL experience is a great way to take advantage of this. With a dedicated team based in each faculty, you’ll be supported to find work experience that moves you towards your goals.

Have Volunteer & Co-Curricular Experience Recognised

Through UNSW Advantage, you can arrange to have volunteering or co-curricular experience recognised on your academic transcript.
Peer Mentoring & Support
We understand that the early days of your study are essential for long-term success. With offer peer mentoring and support services for each faculty, as well as for LGTBIQ+ students, those with a disability, mature aged students and more. At UNSW, you’ll be supported by our diverse and passionate community from the get-go.
